Papillon will bring salon to Viridian
MELBOURNE-based day spa operator Papillon has announced plans to spread its wings and open its first Queensland salon at the five-star Viridian Resort & Spa under construction at Noosa Heads.
Papillon has secured more than 450sq m of prime commercial space in the resort, with its facility to include three outdoor (double) treatment rooms, three spas, spray tanning facilities, a Vichy shower area and relaxation and waiting rooms.
The resort itself, being developed as a joint venture by Leighton Properties and Macquarie Group, will also offer guests access to three pools, a gymnasium, restaurants, a licensed bar, 24-hour room service and conference facilities.
Papillon director Darren Spillane said he could see great synergies between Noosa and Melbourne.
"Both places are renowned as locations of style and sophistication ... the decision to open what will be our third Papillon salon at the Viridian Resort & Spa was an easy one," he said.
"It's a fair bet we will be seeing many of our Melbourne clients at the Noosa location anyway. Many of them love holidaying at Noosa year after year and Papillon Noosa will give us a chance to connect with them all year round."
Papillon will market its spa services as eco-glam, entirely appropriate considering the most luxurious of the facial treatments is called a "caviar and pearl indulgence facial" which uses Russian caviar extracts and ground pearls.
The spa won't just be for women with men's treatments also offered at Papillon, as well as special wedding, pregnancy and couples packages.
