Main chance irresistible to savvy Coast investors
Gold Coast Bulletin| 24 may 2008

MAIN Beach is making a comeback as an acclaimed elite suburb with a number of major residential and commercial development projects poised to signal its revival.

Hundreds of millions of dollars are being invested, most recently at the $53 million XXV Breaker Street residential-only apartment.

Under construction just around the corner on Hughes Street is Milan, a $43 million Italian themed development from Samtay also featuring super luxury apartments.

Complementing the new range, the 25 Tedder Avenue commercial project from JDZ Projects has 750sqm retail space with dining and commercial business opportunities.

Tedder One, from developer Jim Abrahams, will  have luxury residential apartments, office space, cafes, restaurants and retail shops on a 2226sqm site with frontages to Tedder, Breaker Street and Cronin Avenue.

According to Adrian Parsons from Gold Coast based TOTAL Project Marketing, who is marketing XXV Breaker Street, there has not been so much activity in the area since the completion of several residential projects more than two years ago.

"What we are seeing is a reaffirmation of the popularity and confidence in what has been the Gold Coast's most elite suburb." he said.

"This new wave of luxury residential projects coupled with a resurgence of modern commercial space has firmly put the spotlight back on Main Beach as the ultimate luxury lifestyle destination.

"With limited development opportunities remaining in Main Beach and demand continuing to  row, the suburb is set to surpass its current reputation as the coast's most exclusive beachside address to become one  of the most exclusive in Australia."

ADRIAN Parsons is one of the most eloquent of spokesmen spruiking the Main Beach experience.

"Main Beach is surrounded by world-class amenities including pristine, patrolled surf beaches, the Broadwater for fishing and boating activities, Southport Yacht Club. Marina Mirage and the cafe and restaurant precinct of Tedder Avenue," said the project marketing guru.

"Add to this a large range of dining and shopping outlets all within walking distance anf you can see why Main Beach will remain the Gold Coast's premier cosmopolitan and lifestyle hub."
